I wasn’t sure if I really wanted to write a post about Firefox Download Day, since almost everyone is writing about it.
But recently I’ve been wanting to update the blog, and when you’re out of inspiration… what do you do? You write about what everyone else is talking about.
What these guys are after…
Once the Firefox 3 is released worldwide, we’ll attempt to set a Guinness World Record for the most downloaded software in 24 hs! ( I say we, because as of today, a total of 974,286 people have pledged to download the software- myself included).
The date of the Download Day still remains a mystery, but according to the site, it’s going to be in June and pretty soon.
I’ve been using the version 3 beta 5 bundled with Ubuntu Hardy (oh yes, that sounds a bit geeky I know! But so does this post!! :p) and so far it’s very nice. Too bad some add-ons aren’t supported yet
Nevertheless I do look forward to download day, to see what’s new in this version, and also to help set a worldwide record!!
A few days ago, I came across this site: Found Cameras and Orphan Pictures.
It’s a site where people that finds cameras or memory cards, can publish photos taken from those in the hope that the owner shows up to claim them. As I read in the blog, so far it has had a few success cases.
Being a gadget fan as I am, it’s nice to read the emails of the people that have recovered their cameras, because if I ever lost mine, I’d be forever thankful to get it back!
It’s like returning a puppy to it’s owner
It also has a video in You Tube promoting the initiative…

I totally for ideas like this, how a simple blog can provide such a valuable service!
Around a year ago, thanks to Esteban, I began to read a copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
Being a good Sci-Fi fan as I am, I inmediately was captured by the story. And after I returned the book I had borrowed, I felt that I had to finish reading the five books.
A month ago, I found this interesting offer in Amazon.com and without hesitation I pressed the Buy button and here I am today, enjoying of my very own copy

All I can say is: Yay! ![]()
As you can see the blog is up and running once again, still can’t be sure what went wrong, but I have the suspition that it has something to do with the hotlink protection being enabled. Because after that, it all went down.
So, all you people that are using my bandwith and linking my images, you may continue to do so, until I find out a way to fix this
Right after I got the site working again, I thought it was time for a change, so I tweaked a wordpress template - loved the minimalistic look- and here we are. I actually added a logo and changed some colours, so there’s not much work on it (as I used to do). But I’m very happy with the final look. Specially because it’s much faster!
Moving on to happier subjects, last week I made sushi for the first time. Luckily everything went great, and the results were not bad at all!
Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure…
