From iPod to Social Music
11 marzo, 2007 por MidoriAfter losing my iPod to some evil and criminal hands, and even though I had most of my music backed up in CD -yep, I’m not a happy owner of a DVD-RW drive yet- I wanted a faster alternative to reviewing all the contents of my music collection.
That’s why I turned to Last.fm. I had used it before, so I knew how everything worked.
I was so happy to find out my profile was still there. So all the music I had scrobbled before was on my track list. All I had to do was listen.
But it doesn’t end there. Before I thought of it as a music resource, but then I started getting interested in what the site was all about: social music. I got in touch with people that had similar music taste to mine, and made some friends.
I tried Pandora too… but I wasn’t very comfortable with the system. And besides, it kept picking artists for me, completely unknown.
That was it.
So if you want to know, I’m sticking to Last.fm for the time being…
