Wired Magazine has launched a tournament to choose the greatest gadget of all time. The prize for the winner is an Apple 4GB iPhone.

The tournament is a bracket-style elimination contest. If your picks match the popular choices, you score points, and whoever scores more points takes the iPhone home! Deadline is on 08.08.07.

    I’m afraid that the iPhone, thanks to it’s novelty, will be the winner. I think that things like the sextant, the transistor radio or a black and decker drill will suffer just because they are old already and everybody gives them for granted. My Winner? The ThinkPad 700; its runner up was the black & decker drill.
